Chanel Grima
Chanel is a Clinical Associate supervised by Dr. Kelty Berardi and Dr. Carolyn James. She provides assessment and treatment to children, adolescents, and adults experiencing a range of developmental, learning, and mental health concerns, including attention and executive functioning challenges, learning differences, social and communication differences, anxiety and mood concerns, emotion regulation challenges, trauma and adjustment difficulties, and relationship concerns.
Chanel is currently completing her Psy.D. in Clinical Psychology at Adler Graduate Professional School. As part of her doctoral training, she is completing her Pre-Doctoral Residency at York University, where she provides assessment, counselling, and consultation services to university students.
Chanel takes a collaborative, strengths-based, and solution-focused approach to therapy, helping clients better understand themselves and their experiences, build practical skills, and work toward meaningful change. Her approach is tailored to each client and what is most important to them.
In her assessment work, Chanel aims to provide greater clarity and understanding of each client’s unique strengths, challenges, and needs. She views assessment as an opportunity to provide practical recommendations that can guide clients, their families, schools, workplaces, and other relevant supports in identifying appropriate interventions and next steps.
